Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
My approach to psychotherapy is eclectic, and based on my experience with psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectic-behavioral therapy, attachment and trauma theory and psychoanalysis. My goal is to allow my patients to get to know themselves in the context of a supportive relationship with me. By learning the patterns of thoughts, feelings and behaviors that animate us we can achieve a sense of increased self-awareness and control, enact positive changes or let go of outdated patterns and come to accept and know our whole mind as we would a cherished friend.
